It's 5:00 AM and the only thing I know to do is write....
After several attempts, I've come to the realization that my body only requires 5 hours of sleep. I basically lay in bed the rest of the time and flop and watch the clock. It's been a LONG time since I've posted to a blog and I can't expect to have any kind of loyal following if my readers get one post every three years. Oh well, things have been busy lately and I have a plethora (For definition, see "Three Amigos") of things to write about. The first of which is home ownership. I'm currently in a contract on a home and things are moving SLOW. Of course, it won't be as long as it has been but I am still baffled at the speed at which this home is closing. Maybe it just seems like it is taking a long time but the anxiety of the process is beginning to wear on me. Once I get into the home, I'm sure I will have all kinds of things to share with you about what I am now referring to as my "impending money pit affair".
Work has changed since my last post. I have since switched branches twice and now reside in the bustling metropolis of Lavalette, WV. Working there is about as convenient as you can get because from the time I turn the key on my car to the time I'm sitting down at my desk is approximately 2 minutes and 13 seconds. Back in September I was fortunate enough to move into the main branch in Huntington, WV and enjoyed my 6 months there immensely. I made great friends there and the general stress level seemed to be down. Its a breath of fresh air when other people are around to share the yoke.
It's Memorial Day Weekend and a time for reflection. The older I get, I find myself looking forward to this holiday more and more. Not so much because it's a three day weekend but because of rememberance of family and friends past. One of my favorite things has now become to visit the cemetaries where my family are buried and decorate the graves. I think this is a good thing that I'm developing a liking for this. It lets me know that my life is prioritizing the important things. There are times when I think to myself that I get too self absorbed about irrelevant issues and that I'm not bringing alot of "quality substance of character" to the table. I know that might not make sense to alot of you but it makes perfect sense to me.
I realize that the human brain is easily distracted so I'll stop this post here. If you wanted to read 300 pages, John Grisham will keep you a little more entertained than me.
Thanks for listening..........
